How do I clean peel-and-stick backsplash tiles?

Wipe the surface with a soft cloth and mild cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents, and long-term soaking around seams. For kitchen splashes, clean oil and water marks soon after use.

Which surfaces work best?

MORCART peel-and-stick tiles work best on smooth, clean, dry walls or existing flat tile. Textured, damp, freshly painted, loose, or unfinished surfaces should be tested first or avoided. If you rent, start with a sample before a full wall.

What should I do before I stick?

Measure your backsplash area, clean off dust and oil, let the wall dry completely, plan the layout around outlets and corners, then test one sheet first. Press edges and seams firmly during installation.

Can I remove them later?

Removal depends on wall condition, paint quality, installation time, and heat or moisture exposure. Warm an edge gently, peel slowly, and stop if paint begins to lift. For rentals, test a sample in a low-visibility area first.

MORCART Installation Guide

Six simple steps before you stick. Smooth, clean, dry surfaces work best; test first if you rent or have textured walls.

1. Clean the wall

Remove dust, oil, and moisture. Use a suitable degreaser for kitchen backsplashes, then let the surface dry completely.

2. Measure and level

Mark a straight guide line for the first row so the tiles line up under cabinets, outlets, and corners.

3. Dry fit first

Lay out the sheets before peeling. Check direction, pattern repeat, and where you will trim edges.

4. Peel, align, press

Peel part of the backing, align with your guide line, then press from the center outward to reduce bubbles.

5. Trim and finish edges

Use a sharp utility knife for outlets, corners, and end rows. Press edges and joints firmly.

6. Let it set

Avoid heavy moisture, cleaning, or heat exposure while the adhesive sets. For rentals or textured walls, test a sample first.
